Lauren Fox, Ph.D.

About Dr. Fox

Dr. Lauren Fox is a licensed clinical psychologist who is passionate about working with individuals who are struggling to balance their physical and their mental health. This includes adjusting to the psychosocial demands of a significant medical diagnosis, developing and pursuing lifestyle changes to maximize well being, and managing chronic medical illnesses that may be exacerbated by mental, emotional, and social challenges. She is primarily grounded in a cognitive behavioral approach and is formally trained in a number of evidence based practices including CBT for insomnia, headaches, and chronic pain; interpersonal psychotherapy; behavioral activation; mindfulness-based therapies; and prolonged exposure/cognitive processing therapy. Dr. Fox has also consistently provided psychological evaluations for medical settings, including bariatrics, solid organ transplant, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) initiation, gender affirming care, and spinal cord stimulator trial.

Dr. Fox highly values respect, patient autonomy, and independence and looks forward to collaboratively creating a treatment environment which fits each individual. She understands that managing your health means understanding the whole person, rather than a set of symptoms or diagnoses.
