About Dr. Boghossian

Dr. Nayiri Boghossian is a registered psychological associate with specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She has worked across various environments, including a community mental health center, hospital, and college counseling service in a rural area. Dr. Boghossian has primarily worked with college-aged adults who have faced challenges with post-traumatic stress, personality disturbance, depression, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, and anxiety.

Dr. Boghossian practices evidence-based therapies, including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Humanistic approaches, all through a multicultural and trauma-informed lens. She emphasizes the importance of developing a collaborative environment and meeting clients where they are, to build upon their unique strengths. Dr. Boghossian works to empower her clients and help them understand the underlying challenges that impact their quality of life. She aims to provide an empathetic, caring, safe, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their identities and difficulties.

Background

Dr. Boghossian earned her MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant University, San Diego. Dr. Boghossian completed her pre-doctoral internship at the APA-accredited Counseling and Psychological Services at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Dr. Boghossian is an unlicensed psychologist completing her post-graduate training under the supervision of Dr. Lilit Abraamyan-Chaidez (PSY31671), a clinical psychologist at the Rowan Center for Behavioral Medicine.
