Background
Dr. Roy earned her Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Louis Stokes
Cleveland Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where she received generalist training with an emphasis in rehabilitation psychology. Dr. Roy worked on interdisciplinary teams serving Veterans with medical conditions including Spinal Cord Injury or Disorders (SCI/D) unit, primary care mental health integration clinic, blind rehabilitation center, CARF accredited acute rehabilitation unit. Additionally, she conducted brief neuropsychological assessment batteries for the Polytrauma clinic and completed
specialized training in Cognitive Processing therapy to treat PTSD. As a pre-doctoral intern, Dr. Roy helped to adapt a group therapy modality to address sexuality concerns for women with SCI/D. Dr. Roy is currently an unlicensed clinical psychologist and pursuing licensure while under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Beier (05543), a clinical psychologist at Rowan Center for Behavioral Medicine.
