About Dr. Caldwell

Dr. Kaylor Caldwell is a registered psychological associate with her Ph.D. in counseling psychology. With a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, Dr. Caldwell integrates feminist and multicultural perspectives to support individuals in navigating life's challenges. Her clinical experience spans acute inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, including work with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), social rehabilitation clinics, and substance abuse treatment centers. Dr. Caldwell is trained in evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she frequently incorporates mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help clients manage stress and anxiety.

Dr. Caldwell specializes in working with individuals facing chemical dependencies, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), race-based trauma, and severe mental health conditions. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals from marginalized and historically oppressed communities, providing compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique needs.

Background

Dr. Caldwell earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the APA-accredited VA Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center. 

Dr. Caldwell is an unlicensed psychologist completing her post-graduate training under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Garrett (PSY33489), a clinical psychologist at the Rowan Center for Behavioral Medicine.
