About

Dr. Carlos Vidales is a licensed psychologist with doctoral-level training in the treatment of substance use disorders, mood disorders, trauma, depression, and adjustment disorders among adult populations. Dr. Vidales has primarily worked with college-aged adults (18 – 30) experiencing transitional stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and identity concerns. He has also worked in community mental health, providing medication-assisted treatment to adults with severe substance use disorders living in rural and poverty-stricken communities.

Dr. Vidales’ approach to therapy primarily utilizes a person-centered/humanistic methodology to create a collaborative environment in which others feel validated, empowered, and in control of their journey. He also uses multicultural therapy and interpersonal process therapy to understand the cultural and systematic influences on our distress, as well as discover how the patterns learned in our families appear in other parts of our lives.
